Stage 1 – how to clean limestone with FilaCleaner
You will need a bucket for diluting FilaCleaner, another bucket of fresh water, two cloths and a scrubbing brush or stiff broom.
Dilute FilaCleaner with water at a 1:30 ratio.
Apply to the limestone (working on a small area of a few square metres at a time), then clean the surface with a cloth and scrubbing brush or stiff broom.
Remove dirt and rinse with clean water.
Allow to dry completely.
Stage 2 – applying FilaW68 limestone sealer for stain protection
FilaW68 does not require dilution. You will need a bowl or container and a paintbrush.
On a clean and dry surface, use a paintbrush or lambswool applicator to apply an even coat of FILAW68, making sure to also soak the grout joints.
When the first coat is complete, apply a second coat in the same manner (there is no need to wait between coats).
Allow to dry completely before walking on the surface.
How to Clean Limestone on an ongoing basis
Use a 1:200 dilution of FilaCleaner for regular cleaning, or a dilution of 1:30 when a more intensive clean is necessary.
For spot stain removal, use Fila NoSpot for oily, greasy stains or FilaSR95 for organic (food-based) stains.
